Stanley School has a special place in my heart- I had the privilege of working at the school for 7 years as a teaching assistant. I hugely enjoyed supporting the learning and development of all the wonderful children within the school and it has given me some amazing memories of so many incredible achievements of the children who I have supported over the years. I have been a staff governor for 4 years and have now been co-opted to continue for a further term. Although I am no longer working within the school I am dedicated to, and looking forward to making a positive contribution to the governing board. I am committed to developing a deeper understanding of the wider issues within education, promoting the School’s, Ethos and Vision and adding value where I can. I am on the finance, curriculum and Health & Safety committees and am link governor for Communication & Language and Attendance and Behaviour. I am currently studying at Chester University undertaking a Return to Practice in Nursing qualification- I hope to be back practicing as a nurse by early 2023. I am a mum of two grown up children (and a most excellent Golden doodle!)

Yvonne Clark

My experience was gained through Primary school teaching in a number of Wirral schools. Early Years education has always been very important to me as I believe that life long love of learning needs to begin early. My role included managing a staff team.

As I am retired from employment I have plenty of time to enjoy my hobbies. These include Reading, walking, swimming, baking, craft, spending time with, family and friends.

Dave Spencer Experience: I strongly believe that every child must receive the best possible education. I currently volunteer for three local authorities for school admissions and exclusion reviews. I've been a school governor for 33 years, firstly as a parent governor for Pensby Infants then as a co-opted governor. I was also a parent governor for Pensby juniors before becoming a co-opted governor. Presently I am chair of governors of Pensby Primary school a position I've held for 13 years. I became a governor at Stanley school in June 2019 and was elected chair in September 2019. Interests: I've attended many training sessions including school finance, safeguarding and health and safety. I attend most of the committee meetings at the two school's that I am proud to be elected onto.

Interests include: computers/software, cycling, foreign holiday's, photography, my two dogs, scuba diving, the wife, and walking.
